About
West Lake Crockett Recreation Area sits on the northwest shore of Lake Crockett, a 450-acre impoundment originally built in the 1930s. The campground was completed in 1968 and features 12 standard non-electric campsites available strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment of $10/night can be made with cash, check, or via the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay QR code system on-site. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and potable water from faucets. Campers come primarily for the lake access, with shore fishing permitted along with motorized and non-motorized boating, canoeing, kayaking, and jet skiing. Hunting is also allowed in season on the surrounding Caddo National Grassland. Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 6am. Per Forest Service regulations, camping is limited to 14 days within any 30-day period, with a maximum of two vehicles, eight persons, and two tents per site. Pets must be leashed or crated at all times.
