About

Bois D'Arc Trailhead sits within the Bois d'Arc Unit of Caddo National Grassland, approximately 15 miles north of Honey Grove in Fannin County, Texas. Originally developed as an equestrian trailhead, the campground serves riders accessing the multi-use trail system as well as general campers seeking a quiet primitive experience in the North Texas prairies and post oak woodlands. The campground features 26 standard nonelectric sites, each with a picnic table. Vault toilets and potable water faucets are available throughout. A central pavilion with grill provides a gathering spot, and equestrian visitors benefit from a dedicated horse washing area and horse ties. Site #26 is fully ADA accessible with a paved path to the restroom. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. Campers pay $10 per night via cash, check, or by scanning the QR code on-site using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 6am. Interagency Senior and Access pass holders receive a 50% discount on single-site fees.
