About

Located in the Bois d'Arc Creek Unit of Caddo National Grassland, this overnight trailhead campground caters primarily to equestrian campers with 26 campsites, a horse washing area, and direct access to approximately 30 miles of multi-use trails through oak woodlands. Each campsite includes a picnic table, and the facility provides potable water, vault toilets, and a pavilion with a grill. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis year-round with no advance reservations accepted. Payment options include cash, check, or scan-and-pay QR code on-site. The surrounding Caddo National Grassland encompasses over 13,000 acres of primarily upland oak woodlands with bottomland habitat along Bois d'Arc Creek. Nearby attractions include Lake Davy Crockett and Coffee Mill Lake. The campground is located approximately 17 miles north of Honey Grove in Fannin County. Campsite #26 is fully accessible with a paved path to the restroom. Pets must be leashed (six feet or less), and quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Directions

From Honey Grove, turn north on FM 100 and travel 12 miles. Turn left (west) on FM 409 and go 5½ miles, turn left into trailhead.
