Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. No reservations accepted. From September 15 through May 15, all camping at Glendo State Park operates on a walk-in basis.

Thursday night, variable in the evening, becoming south around midnight with localized gusts up to 40 mph possible through Friday morning. On Friday, south winds becoming west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * HUMIDITY...On Thursday, between 10 and 20 percent. Thursday night, humidity recoveries to between 40 and 65 percent. On Friday, between 6 and 12 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
About
Waters Point Campground is located within Glendo State Park along the shores of Glendo Reservoir in southeast Wyoming. This moderately sized campground features 18 campsites, with sites 1-12 suitable for RVs and sites 13-18 designated as tent-only sites. The tent sites include windbreaks and gravel pads for added comfort. Sites 1 and 3-5 offer partial shade, while sites 7-18 are exposed with no shade coverage. The campground provides access to two small beaches, one with red sand and one with white sand. While these beaches are rockier than other locations in the park, they remain excellent spots for swimming and lakeside relaxation. Waters Point is accessed from I-25 by heading north on Highway 319 from the town of Glendo, then turning right onto Lakeshore Drive and continuing approximately 3 miles. Glendo State Park encompasses 10,000 acres of land and 12,000 acres of water, offering diverse recreational opportunities including 45 miles of non-motorized trails for hiking and mountain biking. The park is known for its relatively mild winters compared to other Wyoming locations.
Directions
From I-25, head north on Highway 319 from the town of Glendo. Turn right onto Lakeshore Drive and continue approximately 3 miles. Waters Point Campground is on the left-hand side.
