About
Broken Arrow Campground occupies a scenic location at the far northern end of Glendo Reservoir's eastern shoreline within Wyoming's 22,000-acre Glendo State Park. The 20 campsites are arranged throughout a large, flat meadow that sits behind a protective stand of cottonwoods along the water's edge. Sites 13 and 14 offer partial shade from nearby trees, while the remaining sites are open with minimal cover. The campground's remote location and site layout make it a popular choice for groups wanting to camp together within walking distance of each other. Facilities are basic, with vault toilets available. Access requires navigating a dirt road with sandy stretches beyond Indian Point Ramp; after heavy rain the road may become impassable. The park recommends smaller units and four-wheel-drive vehicles for this campground. Glendo Reservoir experiences significant water level fluctuations throughout the year, averaging about 55 feet of elevation change. During April through June, rising water levels may temporarily flood some campsites. The park offers additional amenities including dump stations and showers at other campground areas, along with six boat launching facilities around the reservoir.
Directions
From Glendo, take Glendo Park Road into the park. Continue past Indian Point Ramp on dirt road to reach Broken Arrow. Road has sandy sections and may be impassable after heavy rain; 4WD and smaller vehicles recommended.
