About
Indian Point Campground occupies a scenic peninsula at Glendo State Park, offering 21 primitive campsites distributed across three distinct areas. The southern section contains sites 1-12, where sites 7-12 sit at the edge of a large cottonwood stand providing welcome shade, while sites 1-6 are more exposed. Sites 13-16 cluster near the seasonal boat ramp with decent tree cover, and the northern sites 17-21 offer partial shade with views across the reservoir. All sites in this campground are undeveloped with two-track dirt access roads, making them best suited for tents or medium-sized camping units rather than large RVs. The campground provides two vault toilets and access to a seasonal boat ramp that typically operates from early May through late July, with a low-water ramp available during the first few weeks of August depending on reservoir levels. From I-25, follow Glendo Park Road to the Sandy Beach turnoff and turn left toward Sandy Beach. Just before the fee booth, turn right onto the gravel road and continue two miles to reach Indian Point.
