About
Water Valley Landing is a quiet, family-oriented campground and day use area situated along the banks of Enid Lake in the thick, green forests of northeast Mississippi. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the facility provides 29 campsites with modern amenities including full hookups and flush toilets. Picnic areas with grills and tables, a playground, and interpretive trails round out the recreation opportunities at this lakeside destination.
Enid Lake has been recognized as one of America's Top 10 Fishing Spots, with white crappie, bass, and catfish available in abundance. The lake is home to the world record white crappie, which weighed an impressive 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and fishing tournaments are held annually. Boating is a popular pastime on the lake, with boat ramps provided at the campground. Hiking and biking trails wind along the lakeshore and throughout the surrounding landscape.
Enid Lake is part of a dam project on the Yocona River, creating almost 16,000 acres of water surrounded by an additional 44,000 acres of forest. The nearby towns of Water Valley and Batesville offer shopping, restaurants, and emergency care facilities, while Memphis, Tennessee, is approximately 60 miles away.

From Interstate 55, take exit 227 onto State Route 32 east and continue for 17 miles. Turn onto County Road 53 and continue for 2 miles. Follow signs into the campground or to boat ramp.
