George P. Cossar State Park occupies a scenic stretch of shoreline on Enid Lake, a 28,000-acre U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir in Yalobusha County. The park serves as a base camp for anglers targeting crappie, bass, and catfish, and hunters accessing the surrounding Holly Springs National Forest. Enid Lake also offers excellent opportunities for boating, skiing, and swimming. The campground is split into two loops: Yocona Ridge (35 sites) and Jones Creek (41 sites). All 76 sites provide full hookups including 30-amp electric, water, and sewer. Yocona Ridge is open year-round and features a bathhouse, laundry facility, playground, and dump station. Jones Creek operates seasonally from June through September. Each campground loop has its own bathhouse with flush toilets and hot showers. Beyond camping, the park offers a putt-putt golf course, disc golf course, fishing cleaning station, boat ramp, and picnic pavilion with grills. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance through the MDWFP reservation system or by calling the park office. The 15% camping discount applies to seniors 62+, veterans, and active military.

From I-55: Take exit 227 and turn left (east) onto Highway 32 toward Water Valley. Travel approximately 5 miles to County Road 170. Turn left onto CR 170 and continue 2.3 miles to the park entrance. From Water Valley: Take Highway 32 west approximately 12 miles to County Road 170. Turn right and continue 2.3 miles to the park entrance.
