About

Chickasaw Hill is a quiet, family-oriented campground situated along the banks of Enid Lake in the forests of northern Mississippi. The campground offers 53 campsites with modern amenities including full hookups, flush toilets, and electrical service. Sites include both standard RV sites and tent-only sites with electric hookups. Additional facilities include a playground, interpretive trail, picnic areas with shelters, grills, and tables. Enid Lake has been recognized as one of America's Top 10 Fishing Spots, with white crappie, bass, and catfish available in abundance. The lake is home to the world record white crappie, which weighed 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and fishing tournaments are held annually. Hiking trails wind along the lakeshore and throughout the surrounding landscape, offering hiking, biking, and horseback riding opportunities. Boating is popular on the lake, with boat ramps provided at the campground. Enid Lake is part of a dam project on the Yocona River, creating almost 16,000 acres of water. An additional 44,000 acres of thick, green forests surrounding the lake offer countless recreational opportunities. The campground is located about an hour from Memphis, Tennessee. ATVs are not permitted, and there is a $5 beach and boat ramp fee per vehicle.

Directions

From I-55, take exit 233 and head east on CR 36/Enid Dam Road. At the Enid Lake Field Office turn north onto Chapel Hill Road and continue for 3 miles. Turn east on Pope Water Valley Road, and after 7 miles turn south on Chickasaw Road and continue into the campground.
