About
Plum Point Campground sits on the north shore of Enid Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Yocona River in northern Mississippi. This family-friendly campground offers a quiet camping experience with 8 primitive tent-only sites, each featuring a picnic table, fire ring, charcoal grill, and lantern holder. An accessible comfort station with flush toilets is centrally located in the campground.
The campground provides access to a swimming beach, playground, five additional picnic sites, and a boat ramp for exploring Enid Lake's nearly 16,000 acres of water. Enid Lake has been recognized as one of America's Top 10 Fishing Spots and holds the world record for white crappie at 5 pounds, 3 ounces. The lake offers excellent fishing for white crappie, bass, and catfish, with annual fishing tournaments held throughout the season.
Surrounded by 44,000 acres of thick forests, the campground provides habitat viewing opportunities for squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, deer, butterflies, and various bird species. Some campsites offer views of the lake. The nearby towns of Water Valley and Batesville provide shopping and services, while Memphis, Tennessee is approximately 60 miles north.
