About
Long Branch Campground sits on the south side of Enid Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir on the Yocona River in northern Mississippi. This family-friendly campground is designed for tent campers seeking a quiet experience without utility hookups. The facility features 14 non-electric campsites, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and lantern holder.
The campground provides an accessible comfort station with flush toilets, a playground for children, a designated swimming beach, and a boat ramp for lake access. Enid Lake is renowned as one of America's top fishing destinations and holds the world record for white crappie at 5 pounds, 3 ounces. Anglers target abundant populations of white crappie, largemouth bass, and catfish. The 16,000-acre lake offers excellent boating opportunities, while the surrounding 44,000 acres of mixed pine and hardwood forests provide habitat for deer, squirrels, raccoons, and diverse bird species.
The campground is located near Water Valley and Batesville, Mississippi, with Memphis, Tennessee approximately 60 miles north. Five additional picnic sites are available for day use. Reservations are required for camping and can be made through Recreation.gov.
