Warren Guard Station is a historic interpretive site located in the remote mining town of Warren, Idaho, approximately 45 miles north of McCall via Warren Wagon Road. The Guard Station and its accompanying museum are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and provide historical context about the area's mining heritage and Forest Service presence. This facility is NOT a campground and does not offer overnight stays of any kind. The site is currently closed and unstaffed. There are no restrooms or potable water available. Visitors interested in the area's history can access an auto tour booklet and accompanying audio file online, with CDs available for checkout at the McCall Ranger District office. Campers seeking overnight accommodations in the Warren area should consider nearby options such as Chinook Campground along the Secesh River or other Payette National Forest campgrounds accessible from Warren Wagon Road.

Directions

From McCall, travel north on Warren Wagon Road approximately 45 miles. The road is paved for the first 30 miles, then changes to gravel. Plan approximately 1.5 hours for the drive. The site is located in the historic town of Warren.
