About

Warnica Springs Group Campground was formerly a group camping facility located in the Tonto National Forest in Gila County, Arizona. The campground was situated in the rugged terrain characteristic of the Tonto National Forest, which spans 2.9 million acres across central Arizona. The site was officially decommissioned by the U.S. Forest Service on August 18, 2023, and is no longer operated as a camping facility. The campground is not maintained, and no camping amenities or services are provided. The decommissioning means the site has been returned to a more natural state and is no longer designated for recreational camping use. Visitors seeking group camping opportunities in the Tonto National Forest should explore other active group campgrounds in the area, such as Sharp Creek, Ponderosa, or Timber Camp group sites, which offer maintained facilities and reservation systems.
