About

The Open Shelter at Wallace State Park is a day-use picnic facility designed for group gatherings, family reunions, and picnics. Located overlooking the scenic six-acre Lake Allaman, the 30.5' x 20.4' covered structure can accommodate up to 50 people and provides a shaded setting for outdoor meals and events. The shelter is equipped with eight picnic tables, a group grill for cooking, two electrical outlets, and has a water fountain nearby. A vault toilet is located approximately 100 feet away, and additional recreational amenities include a horseshoe pit (100 feet) and playground (300 feet) within easy walking distance. This is a day-use facility only and is not intended for overnight camping.
