Longview Campground

Longview Campground occupies a scenic position within Longview Lake Park in Lee's Summit, Missouri. As a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers property operated by Jackson County Parks and Recreation, it combines federal lake access with county park amenities. The campground provides 89 sites spread across three categories: 17 full hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer; 59 electric-only sites with 30/50 amp service; and 12 primitive tent sites for those preferring a more rustic experience. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire grill. The facility features modern restrooms with hot showers, a playground for families, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. Firewood and ice are available for purchase on-site; outside firewood is prohibited to prevent the spread of invasive pests. Maximum stay is limited to 14 days. Longview Lake offers extensive recreation beyond camping, including power boating, water skiing, jet skiing, and a swimming beach. The surrounding park includes 14 picnic shelters, a 27-hole golf course, 6 miles of paved bicycle trails, and an equestrian show area.

From Kansas City, head south on I-49 toward Lee's Summit. Take exit 166 for View High Drive, then head east. Turn south on Longview Road, then east onto SW County Park Road. The campground entrance is at 1499 SW County Park Road, Lee's Summit, MO 64081.
