About

Camp Branch Campground is one of two campgrounds at Smithville Lake managed by Clay County Parks. Located off Collins Road, the campground offers 346 sites including 200 with 50 amp electric hookups and 146 unimproved primitive sites. Many campsites are positioned along the shoreline, providing easy access to the lake and surrounding trails for hiking, biking, and walking. The campground features centrally located shower houses, playgrounds, and a dump station at the entrance. Camp Branch Swim Beach is open daily from May 1st through September 15th from 8:30 am to sunset. Camp Branch Marina is nearby, offering boat rentals, gas, and fishing supplies. Additional amenities include easy access to boat ramps and tornado shelters for safety. Reservations can be made online or by phone up to six months in advance, with a two-night minimum stay required for weekends. Non-reserved sites are available first-come, first-served. The campground operates seasonally from April 1st through October 1st, with a maximum stay of 15 consecutive days per 30-day period.
