Open — Open year-round. Reservations available mid-April through October; first-come, first-served November 1 through April 14. Potable water is turned off November through mid-April except at the frost-free hydrant at the dump station. Park gate closes at 6 p.m. during off-season and 9 p.m. during on-season.

Weston Bend State Park Campground sits on the scenic bluffs overlooking the Missouri River, just 40 minutes north of Kansas City. The campground offers 35 campsites including basic sites and electric sites, with some 50-amp options available. Camping pads accommodate RVs from 40 to 74 feet, with pull-through sites available for larger rigs. The park includes family campsites for those wanting extra space. Modern amenities include heated restrooms with flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Potable water is available at multiple locations throughout the campground during the on-season (mid-April through October). During the off-season, water is accessible from the frost-free hydrant at the dump station. Firewood is sold at the campground host site during host hours. The campground provides access to a 3-mile paved bicycle trail that winds through the park's wooded terrain, connecting to scenic overlooks of the Missouri River and several hiking trails. The park's accessible overlook provides sweeping river views for all visitors. A weather emergency siren is located near the campground for safety. Extra vehicle parking is available at the showerhouse parking lot. The park gate closes at 9 p.m. during on-season and 6 p.m. during off-season.

Directions

From Kansas City or St. Joseph, take I-29 to Exit 20 (Weston/Leavenworth and Atchison, KS). Proceed on Hwy. 273 toward Weston. At the intersection of Hwy. 273 and Hwy. 45, turn south/left. The state park entrance is half a mile on the right/west side.
