Twin Lakes State Park Cabins and Lodge provides year-round overnight accommodations in the heart of Virginia's Piedmont region, approximately one hour southwest of Richmond. The park features 11 climate-controlled cabins sleeping 4-8 guests and the Bowen Lodge accommodating up to 16 people. Cabin types include 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom options, with several offering waterfront views of Prince Edward Lake. All units feature full kitchens, indoor bathrooms, and fireplaces (wood-burning or gas). The park encompasses 548 acres surrounding two lakes: the 36-acre Prince Edward Lake and 15-acre Goodwin Lake. Guests can enjoy swimming at the designated beach area on Goodwin Lake, fishing for largemouth bass and catfish (Virginia license required), and boating with electric motors. Six miles of hiking trails wind through the park, connecting to an additional 8-mile multi-use trail in the adjacent Prince Edward-Gallion State Forest. Cabin 2 and the Bowen Lodge are ADA-accessible. Pets are permitted with a $20 per night fee. Guests must bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. The park has no Wi-Fi, TV, or telephone service in the cabins. A concession stand operates during summer months, and boat rentals are available seasonally.
