Valley View Group Campground

Valley View Group Campground comprises five primitive group campsites nestled along the Delaware River within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The flat camping area sits beneath a shaded canopy of hardwood trees, providing a secluded setting for group gatherings of 5-25 people per site. Each campsite includes a fire ring, picnic tables, bear-proof trash containers, and bear-proof storage lockers, with four vault toilets serving the campground. Campers can access Valley View by vehicle down a short gravel roadway from Route 209 or by paddling in by canoe or kayak on the Delaware River. A short path leads from the riverbank up to the campsite area. A common gathering area with benches and a flag pole is centrally located for group activities. The McDade Recreational Trail, a 32-mile packed gravel hiking and biking path paralleling the Delaware River, is just a 0.2-mile walk up the gravel driveway from the campsites. Drinking water is available at the nearby Bushkill Access area. Firewood is provided at no charge and can be supplemented by collecting dead wood within 100 yards of the campground; outside firewood is prohibited.
