Rivers Bend Group Campground

About

Rivers Bend Group Campground occupies a large grassy field surrounded by pines and hardwoods on the banks of the Delaware River. Located approximately 2.5 miles north of historic Millbrook Village on Old Mine Road, the campground provides a peaceful base for exploring the New Jersey side of the park. Five group sites are available, each with a fire ring, picnic table, bear-proof trash container, and food locker. The campground offers two distinct access options: drive in via the compacted gravel entrance road, or paddle down the Delaware River and hike approximately 1/10 mile up a crushed gravel trail to the sites. Parking accommodates up to six vehicles per site. Potable water and vault toilets are centrally located. Nearby recreational opportunities include hiking portions of the Appalachian Trail on Blue Mountain Lakes Road, exploring Millbrook Village, and swimming at the park's river beaches. Note that pets are prohibited (service animals must be pre-registered), alcohol possession and consumption is not allowed, and generators are not permitted. Firewood from outside the park cannot be brought in due to Asian Longhorned Beetle concerns; cut firewood is provided free of charge and can be supplemented by collecting dead wood within 100 yards of the campground.

Directions

From Interstate 80 in the south or NJ Route 206, access Old Mine Road. From the north, cross the Delaware at Route 206 near Milford, PA and turn right onto Old Mine Road heading south.
