About

Mohican Outdoor Center sits on a glacial lake in the Kittatinny Mountains within Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, directly adjacent to the Appalachian Trail. Operated year-round by the Appalachian Mountain Club, this primitive group campground offers 16 campsites including tent platforms and walk-in sites ideal for groups and hikers. Visitors enjoy access to Catfish Pond for swimming, paddling, and fishing, plus proximity to wetlands and waterfalls. The center provides hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water. Trails to campsites are rooted and rocky. The facility cannot accommodate RVs or trailers due to parking limitations and terrain. Deli service is available May through October, and canoe and kayak rentals are offered seasonally. Reservations are handled through AMC directly.
