* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast Nevada, including the following county, Elko. * WHEN...Until 815 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 512 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ponding of water on roadways is possible in the city of Wells, however the heaviest rain fell in the hills just to the north of Wells. - Heavy rain may impact portions of Interstate 80 near the city of Wells and also along a 1 to 2 mile stretch of Interstate 80 approximately 5 miles east of Wells. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
