About

76 Creek Cabin Rental is situated in a remote section of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada's Elko County. The cabin is located near the 76 Creek Trail, a 6.2-mile non-motorized trail that accesses the western portion of the Jarbidge Wilderness. The Jarbidge Wilderness encompasses over 113,000 acres of rugged, mountainous terrain characterized by deep canyons, alpine lakes, and peaks exceeding 10,000 feet. This area is one of the most isolated regions in the lower 48 states, offering solitude and pristine backcountry experiences. The nearby town of Jarbidge is accessible only via unpaved roads and is typically snowbound during winter months. Visitors to this remote cabin should be prepared for primitive conditions and limited services. The area offers opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and fishing in nearby streams. Due to the remote location and high elevation, access is typically seasonal and dependent on road and weather conditions.

Directions

From Elko, Nevada, travel north on State Route 225 for approximately 55 miles. Turn east onto Elko County Road 746 (North Fork-Charleston Road) and continue for about 27 miles. Note that the final segments are unimproved roads and may be challenging to navigate. Alternatively, from Rogerson, Idaho, take Three Creek Road south for about 49 miles to reach Jarbidge.
