About

Pavlak Campground is a small, basic camping area nestled in the remote Jarbidge Wilderness region of northeastern Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Located approximately 3 miles south of the historic mining town of Jarbidge, this rustic campground provides a quiet base for exploring one of Nevada's most undiscovered recreation areas. Facilities are minimal but functional, with vault toilets and picnic tables provided. There is no potable water available, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground is free of charge and operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for backcountry exploration, including backpacking, day hiking, mountain biking, and fishing in the nearby Jarbidge River. The Jarbidge Wilderness provides access to rugged canyon country and high mountain terrain. Horses and pack animals are permitted for those looking to venture deeper into the wilderness.
