About
Pine Creek Campground is a small, free primitive campground situated in the remote Jarbidge Canyon area of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in Elko County, Nevada. The campground offers 5 sites approximately 4 miles south of the historic mining town of Jarbidge, accessed via Forest Road 58064. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables, but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on-site. The area offers opportunities for river fishing, hunting, and OHV riding along designated routes. Pine Creek Campground serves as the trailhead for Pine Creek Trail (Trail 18103), which provides direct access into the Jarbidge Wilderness. Horse and pack animals are permitted, though certified weed-free hay is required. The surrounding wilderness offers exceptional backcountry hiking and wildlife viewing in one of Nevada's most remote regions.
