About

Lower Bluster Campground is a small, minimally developed campground situated in the remote Jarbidge area of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. Located 3.5 miles south of the historic mining town of Jarbidge at 6,500 feet elevation, the campground provides a primitive camping experience with vault toilets and picnic tables but no potable water. The Jarbidge area offers excellent opportunities for backcountry exploration including hiking, backpacking, river and stream fishing, swimming, mountain biking, and OHV riding. Horses and pack animals are also permitted. The campground is free with no reservation system and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to its remote location and high elevation, access is dependent on weather conditions. The road to Jarbidge can be rough and may require high-clearance vehicles. Campers should come prepared with all necessary supplies including drinking water.
