About

Sawmill Campground sits approximately 1 mile north of the historic mining town of Jarbidge in northeastern Nevada, positioned at 6,068 feet elevation within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. This small, rustic campground features just five campsites designed for small to medium-sized vehicles and trailers, creating an intimate camping environment. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no fees. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. Campers must bring their own water as none is available on-site. Pets are allowed but must be kept on leash. The location offers excellent access to the Jarbidge Wilderness, Nevada's first designated wilderness area, with numerous hiking trails and OHV riding opportunities nearby. The remote setting and lack of modern amenities make this an ideal destination for experienced campers seeking solitude and access to pristine wilderness.
