About

Unity Lake State Recreation Site is a green oasis in Oregon's high desert, located on the shores of Unity Reservoir approximately 5 miles north of the small town of Unity off U.S. Highway 26. The 926-acre reservoir with 10 miles of shoreline provides excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, and water sports. Anglers target rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, and black crappie in these waters. The campground offers 35 electrical sites with water hookups spread across a shaded lawn area, plus two reservable cabins (one pet-friendly) and a hiker/biker camp. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring. Facilities include hot showers, flush toilets, and an ADA-accessible dump station. Firewood and ice are available for purchase on-site. The area serves as an ideal base camp for exploring three nearby wilderness areas and historical attractions including the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and Sumpter Valley Dredge. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through the end of October, with reservations available up to 6 months in advance through Oregon State Parks.
