...RED FLAG WARNING FOR WIND/RH FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING... .Dry and increasingly windy weather will develop Friday afternoon in the Owyhee Mountains and Southern Highlands in Idaho ahead of a cold front expected to pass through Friday night. Concern is greatest in the southern half of those zones. The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Red Flag Warning for winds and low relative humidities, which is in effect from 2 PM to 8 PM MDT Friday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...In Idaho, Fire Weather Zones 423 Owyhee Mountains and 426 Southern Highlands. * TIMING...From 2 PM to 8 PM MDT Friday. * WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...12 to 18 percent. * TEMPERATURES...80 to 86 degrees. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.
