About

Two Pan Campground is a small equestrian-focused campground located at the end of the Lostine Canyon Road, just below the Two Pan Trailhead in Oregon's Wallowa Mountains. Designed specifically for stock users, the campground offers 4 campsites equipped with hitch rails, water troughs, and feed bunks for horses and mules. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with limited parking for trucks and trailers. The campground sits in a cool, shaded location among spruce and fir trees at approximately 5,600 feet elevation. Restrooms are available nearby, but campers must bring their own drinking water as none is provided on site. The area serves as a primary staging point for backcountry trips into the Eagle Cap Wilderness, one of the largest wilderness areas in Oregon. A free self-issued Wilderness Visitor Permit is required for all overnight travel into Eagle Cap Wilderness. Mechanized equipment including bicycles is prohibited in the wilderness. The 11-mile drive on Forest Road 8210 from the forest boundary is on gravel surface. Camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights within any 30-day period.

Directions

From Enterprise, Oregon, travel northwest on State Highway 82 to Lostine. In Lostine, go 7 miles south on Lostine River Road to the forest boundary where it becomes Forest Road 8210. Continue on FR 8210 for 11 miles up Lostine Canyon to the campground on the left, just before Two Pan Trailhead. The forest road is gravel surface.
