About

Hurricane Creek Campground offers a quiet, primitive camping experience along the banks of Hurricane Creek in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The campground features 11 sites: three tent or small trailer sites and eight tent-only sites. Three sites are accessible for people with disabilities. Each site includes a fire ring, picnic table, and parking space. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on-site. The campground serves as a gateway to the spectacular Eagle Cap Wilderness and the Hurricane Creek Trail. Fishing opportunities exist in the creek, and the surrounding area offers excellent hiking and wildlife viewing. The setting along the riparian corridor provides a scenic backdrop with mountain views and old-growth forest. The access road to Hurricane Creek Campground is rough and not recommended for low-clearance RVs or trailers. Campers with larger vehicles should plan accordingly or consider tent camping only. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with reservations available through Recreation.gov.
