About
Turkey Flat Forest Camp is one of several small campgrounds located along the beautiful Wild and Scenic Lostine River in Oregon's Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Nestled in a cool fir and pine forest at 5,300 feet elevation, this rustic campground offers just three sites, making it an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and a true backcountry experience. The campground serves as a gateway to the Eagle Cap Wilderness, attracting summer campers, hikers, and hunters exploring the Lostine Canyon. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and parking spot. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Sites are $10 per night, payable at the self-service fee station. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The campground operates under a 14-day stay limit within any 30-day period, consistent with Wallowa-Whitman National Forest regulations.
