About
Arrow Forest Camp is a small, rustic campground tucked into a fir and pine forest along the Wild and Scenic Lostine River in Oregon's Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. With only three sites, it offers a quiet, intimate setting for campers looking to explore the Lostine Canyon and access the nearby Eagle Cap Wilderness. The campground sees heavy use during summer months from hikers, backpackers, and anglers drawn to the exceptional scenery and recreation opportunities in the area. Each of the three sites is equipped with a fire ring, picnic table, and parking space. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on site. Campers must bring their own drinking water, though seasonal water is available across the road at the Lostine Guard Station. The campground is accessible via Forest Road 8210, a gravel and dirt road that travels up the Lostine Canyon from the town of Lostine. The campground is reservable through Recreation.gov. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The fee is $10 per night, payable by cash or check at the self-service fee station. Interagency Senior/Access passes provide a 50% discount on single site fees.
Directions
From Enterprise, Oregon, travel northwest on State Highway 82 to Lostine. In Lostine, go 7 miles south on the Lostine River Road to the Forest boundary, where the road becomes Forest Road 8210. Continue on FR 8210 for 10 miles up the Lostine Canyon; the campground is on the right. The road is gravel and dirt.
