About
Twin Valley Campground is located within Governor Dodge State Park, one of Wisconsin's largest state parks encompassing over 5,000 acres of steep hills, bluffs, and deep valleys in the scenic driftless area. The campground features 149 campsites as part of the park's 269 standard family campsites split between Twin Valley and Cox Hollow campgrounds. Electric hookups are available at select sites, and the campground includes modern restroom buildings with showers, a trailer dump station, picnic tables, fire rings, and playground facilities.
The campground operates year-round with 39 sites available during winter months, including 10 sites that are plowed as staffing allows. Winter sites provide electricity, pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. Showers and drinking water are available from Memorial Day weekend through October 1, depending on weather conditions. During winter, potable water can be obtained from the park office via an outdoor spigot. Two accessible campsites (241 and 355) feature electricity, paved driveways, and accessible toilet and shower facilities.
Reservations are required for all campsites and can be made up to 11 months in advance or for same-day arrival. The campground provides access to over 40 miles of trails for hiking and biking, as well as two lakes for swimming, fishing, and non-motorized or electric motor boating. Limited camping supplies are available at the Cox Hollow Beach concession stand from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, with full services available in Dodgeville, three miles south of the park.
