Devils Lake Quartzite Campground

Quartzite Campground sits on the site of a former 9-hole golf course, established as a campground in 1969. The terrain is mostly open and grassy with medium to large trees providing shade throughout. Sites 1-100 accommodate families of up to six people, with 75 sites offering electrical hookups and 25 non-electric options. Each site includes a picnic table, metal fire ring, and gravel or paved parking area with room for at least one family tent. The campground lies approximately 0.33 miles from the Devil's Lake shoreline, separated by a wooded hill, the park entrance road, and the main day-use picnic area. While campsites don't have lake views, the location provides convenient access to the park's nearly 30 miles of hiking trails, two swimming beaches, and the iconic quartzite bluffs. The spacious layout makes this campground a preferred choice for larger recreational vehicles. Facilities include one shower building, two pit toilets, and a dump/fill station. A playground near the center of the campground adds a family-friendly amenity. Devil's Lake is Wisconsin's most visited state park, so visitors should expect crowds and long wait times from May through October, especially on weekends and holidays when parking lots often fill before 9 a.m.

Located within Devil's Lake State Park in Sauk County, Wisconsin. The park entrance is off Highway 123, south of Baraboo. A Wisconsin state park vehicle admission sticker is required for entry.
