Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures.

Cox Hollow Campground is located within Governor Dodge State Park, one of Wisconsin's largest state parks at over 5,000 acres in the scenic driftless area. The campground is part of a 269-site system shared with Twin Valley Campground. Cox Hollow offers a mix of standard campsites, with electrical hookups available at select sites. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, and a trailer dump station. A playground provides entertainment for families with children. The campground sits near Cox Hollow Lake, where campers can enjoy swimming at the beach and access limited supplies at the beach concession stand during the summer season. The park's extensive trail system offers opportunities for hiking through steep hills, bluffs, and deep valleys. Cox Hollow includes accessible campsites with paved driveways and dedicated accessible facilities. Winter camping is available at select sites with electricity, pit toilets, and plowed access. The park office provides water fill-up during the off-season when regular water systems are shut down. Reservations are required year-round and can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Wisconsin State Parks system.
Directions
Cox Hollow Campground is located within Governor Dodge State Park, about three miles north of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, along State Road 23 North. From Dodgeville, head north on State Road 23 and follow signs for the state park entrance. Once inside the park, follow campground signage to reach Cox Hollow Campground.
