Perched at the highest point in southern Wisconsin, Blue Mound State Park's Family & Bike Campground provides a forested retreat with excellent trail access. The 77 wooded family sites offer a secluded camping experience, while 12 bike/hike-in sites are strategically located between the family campground and the Military Ridge State Trail, making them ideal for cyclists touring the region. Every site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with modern amenities including a flush toilet and shower building near site 30 and a dump station at the campground entrance. Sites 28 and 32 feature electric hookups and ADA-accessible facilities with hard-surface paths. A rustic accessible cabin designed for wheelchair users is available May 25 through October 31. The park offers over 20 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, plus a seasonal swimming pool and splash pad. Winter camping is available with limited vehicular access. Note that pets are not permitted except certified service animals.
Directions
Blue Mountain Resort campsites are located just off the ski trails at Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, Pennsylvania. From PA Route 248, take the Palmerton exit and follow signs to Blue Mountain Resort on Blue Mountain Drive. The campground is situated around the resort, offering easy access to resort amenities and nearby attractions.
