About

Hickory Ridge Group Campground sits within Governor Dodge State Park, one of Wisconsin's largest state parks with over 5,000 acres of steep hills, bluffs, deep valleys, two lakes, and a waterfall. The campground offers 8 group tent sites, each designed for parties of 15 to 40 people. All sites feature pit toilets, picnic tables, and large fire rings for gathering. The group camp area includes a shower building located near site B, which also provides the only drinking water access in the campground. Site E is ADA accessible with paved pathways to both the campsite and toilet facilities. The location serves as a convenient base for exploring the park's extensive trail system and equestrian facilities. Reservations are required and can be made same-day through 11 months in advance via wisconsin.goingtocamp.com or by calling 1-888-947-2757. Note that road, retaining wall, and water system construction projects are scheduled throughout 2026, which may cause temporary closures or disruptions to the Group Camp area.
