Hickory Ridge Group Camp is located in a scenic area of Governor Dodge State Park, offering group camping experiences for parties of 15 to 40 people across 8 designated sites. The campground is tent-only and provides a more rustic experience while still offering essential amenities. Each group site features a dedicated tent area, multiple picnic tables, and a large fire ring for gathering. Pit toilets are located at each site, and drinking water is available at the shower building near group site B and across from the backpack sites parking lot near group sites E, F, G, and H. The Hickory Ridge area serves as a hub for outdoor recreation, particularly for equestrians, with the equestrian campground located nearby. The location provides excellent access to Governor Dodge State Park's 22 miles of equestrian trails, including both the interior horse trail system and the 15-mile Driftless Horse Trail. Group campsite E features a paved path to the campsite and toilet facilities for enhanced accessibility. In addition to the group sites, six backpack campsites are located near Hickory Ridge, positioned about 0.5 miles from the parking lot for those seeking a more remote experience. Showers and drinking water are available from Memorial Day weekend through October 1, weather dependent. During the off-season, potable water can be obtained from the park office. Reservations are required for all sites and can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Wisconsin State Park System.

Directions

The RV Resort at Hickory Ridge is located at 15816 Lynch Rd., Holley, NY 14470, between Rochester and Buffalo. The campground is approximately 1.5 miles from the Erie Canal walking trails. Access is via local roads, with clear signage leading you directly to the resort.
