About
Tower Hill State Park Campground offers an intimate camping experience with just 10 tent sites tucked into the wooded bluffs above the Wisconsin River near Spring Green. This small, quiet campground provides a rustic escape with non-electric sites, vault toilets, and seasonal drinking water available from Memorial Day weekend through October 1. Each campsite features a fire ring and picnic table. The park itself preserves a fascinating piece of Wisconsin's lead mining history, including a shot tower where workers produced lead shot in the mid-1800s. Visitors can explore scenic bluff trails with panoramic river views, use the canoe landing on the Wisconsin River, and enjoy the picnic area and shelter. The campground's small size and tent-only designation make it ideal for those seeking a peaceful, primitive camping experience away from crowded RV parks. Reservations are required for all sites and can be made through wisconsin.goingtocamp.com for same-day arrival or up to 11 months in advance. A vehicle admission sticker is required for park entry. The park is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. year-round, though the campground operates seasonally.
