Fall colors reflected in Twin Lake
Open

Open for the 2026 season. The campground typically opens the Thursday before the Wisconsin fishing opener in early May. Some sites are first-come, first-served while others are reservable through Recreation.gov.

About

Twin Lakes Campground sits on the wooded shores of Twin Lake in Wisconsin's Price County, offering a traditional Northwoods camping experience. The 17 campsites are split between two loops, with about half providing direct views of the sparkling 19-acre lake. Sites vary in size, with some exceeding 45 feet in length, and each is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Two sites feature hardened surfaces and accessible grills for ADA compliance. The campground provides vault toilets, potable water from a solar-powered well, and garbage and recycling dumpsters. A boat ramp provides easy lake access for canoes and small watercraft. Twin Lake receives annual trout stocking and has a wind aerator maintaining healthy fish populations. The campground sits adjacent to the Round Lake Non-motorized Area, offering hiking and biking trails through the surrounding forest. Park Falls is about 21 miles west and offers restaurants, supplies, and historical attractions. The broader Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest provides over 800 miles of trails, five designated Wilderness areas, and 600 lakes for additional exploration.

Directions

From Park Falls, travel east on State Highway 182 for about 13 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 144 and continue approximately 5 miles. Turn left on Forest Road 142 and travel 2 miles to the campground entrance.
