About

Twin Lakes campground offers a secluded oasis in the heart of Wisconsin's Northwoods, set within the expansive Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Tucked among pines, evergreens, and hardwoods, the campground overlooks the sparkling 19-acre Twin Lake, providing a pristine backdrop for a traditional camping experience. The campground features 17 campsites that accommodate both tent and RV campers, each equipped with picnic tables and fire rings with grills. The 19-acre Twin Lake is a centerpiece for recreation, with a boat ramp providing access for canoeing and fishing. Anglers can expect excellent opportunities for trout and panfish. The campground's location adjacent to the Round Lake Non-motorized area makes it an ideal base for exploring hiking and mountain biking trails. Bird watchers and nature enthusiasts will find opportunities to encounter rare species of fish, wildlife, and plants throughout the area. The surrounding Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest offers over 800 miles of trails, 600 lakes, and 1,200 miles of streams, with additional opportunities for hunting, motorized recreation, and exploring five designated Wilderness areas. Park Falls, located just over 20 miles west, provides access to historical attractions, museums, and restaurants.

Directions

From Park Falls, travel east on State Highway 182 for about 13 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 144, and after approximately 5 miles turn left on Forest Road 142. Continue for 2 miles to the campground entrance.
