About
Twin Lakes Recreation Area sits on 152 acres along Hartwell Lake, a 56,000-acre reservoir on the Savannah, Tugaloo, and Seneca Rivers at the Georgia-South Carolina border. The campground offers 102 public campsites beneath a canopy of pines and mixed hardwoods, with many sites providing lakefront access. All sites include electric hookups (50 amp) and water, with maximum RV lengths varying by site from 33 to 46 feet. Facilities include five comfort stations with hot showers, two dump stations, five playgrounds, a designated swimming beach, and a picnic shelter. The separate day use area features a two-lane boat ramp, courtesy dock, and additional swimming beaches. Boating, water sports, hiking, and biking along the shoreline trails are popular activities. The campground operates year-round and experiences very high occupancy, making advance reservations through Recreation.gov recommended. Twin Lakes is conveniently located just five miles from Clemson, South Carolina, with nearby grocery stores, gas stations, and restaurants.
