Crescent Group Campground sits on a 41-acre peninsula along Hartwell Lake near the Georgia-South Carolina border. The site features gentle slopes with scattered pine and mixed hardwood cover, providing natural shade throughout. The campground is specifically designed for group camping, making it ideal for family reunions, scout troops, or large gatherings. The facility consists of two reservable loops. Loop A contains 10 campsites and accommodates up to 100 people with 30 vehicles. Loop B has 22 campsites with capacity for 220 people and 66 vehicles. Every campsite has water and 50-amp electric hookups. Two comfort stations serve the campground, with one including showers. Each loop also has a covered shelter with water and electric service. Popular lake activities include fishing for largemouth bass, bream, crappie, catfish, and striped bass. The campground does not have a boat ramp or courtesy dock on-site, but other Hartwell Lake facilities provide water access. The nearby town of Clemson offers grocery stores, restaurants, and additional tourism opportunities.

Directions

From Hartwell, Georgia, take Hwy 29 north approximately 8 miles (crossing into South Carolina). Turn left onto Ginn Road, then take the first left onto Campers Way and continue straight to the campground. From Anderson, SC, take Hwy 29 South toward Hartwell; after the Hwy 187 intersection (4-way stop), continue south on Hwy 29 until you see the sign for Crescent, located about 4 miles before the GA/SC border.
