Lake Hartwell State Park Campground

The campground is open year-round. Park hours are sunrise to sunset daily. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April through October, and 11 a.m. to noon and 4 to 5 p.m. November through March. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay.

About

Lake Hartwell State Park is located just off I-85 at the South Carolina-Georgia border, providing easy access to one of the Southeast's premier recreational lakes. The 56,000-acre Lake Hartwell reservoir offers outstanding fishing for largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. The park features two boat ramps with a courtesy dock and a 140-foot fishing pier for anglers without watercraft. The campground offers 109 paved campsites with individual water and electric hookups, many accommodating RVs up to 40 feet. An additional 13 walk-in tent sites provide a more secluded camping experience. Facilities include clean bathhouses with hot showers, flush restrooms, a dump station, and WiFi throughout the campground. The park also features a 0.75-mile nature trail, basketball court, and picnic shelter. Reservations require a minimum two-night stay and can be made online through the South Carolina State Parks reservation system or by calling the reservation line. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with seasonal office hours varying between summer and winter months.
