About

Twin Cove Point sits on the north shore of Birch Lake, a 1,137-acre Army Corps of Engineers reservoir in Osage County, Oklahoma. The area serves primarily as a day-use facility but includes 11 primitive campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis. Group shelters can accommodate up to 30 people and are reservable through Recreation.gov. The lake offers fishing for largemouth bass, walleye, spotted bass, smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass, crappie, catfish, and sunfish. Hunting is permitted in surrounding areas for quail, dove, squirrel, rabbit, and whitetail deer. The shoreline features a mix of gentle and steep slopes with rock outcrops, while the surrounding landscape includes post oak, blackjack oak, hickory, hackberry, and elm forests interspersed with tallgrass prairie.
