Twanoh State Park Campground

Twanoh State Park is a 188-acre marine camping park located on the southern bend of Hood Canal in Mason County. The park is known for having some of the warmest saltwater swimming in Washington State, thanks to Hood Canal's shallow waters and protected location. The campground offers 47 sites: 25 standard tent/RV sites and 22 full-hookup sites with water, electric, and sewer connections. A primitive Cascadia Marine Trail site is available first-come, first-served for paddlers and sailors. The park provides excellent waterfront recreation including a boat launch, 100 feet of dock, and buoy moorage. Shellfish harvesting is popular when seasons permit. Onshore activities include woodland trails, a swimming area, and picnic facilities. Two restroom buildings with flush toilets and showers serve the campground. Gathering firewood is prohibited, but campers can purchase packaged firewood from the campground host. Built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Twanoh retains historic character while offering modern camping conveniences. The park's location provides easy access to Olympic National Forest and the greater Hood Canal region.

Located at 12190 E State Route 106, Union, WA 98592. From Belfair, head west on SR 106 along Hood Canal for approximately 8 miles. The park entrance is on the right.
