Scenic Beach State Park Campground

Scenic Beach State Park occupies 88 acres along 1,500 feet of Hood Canal shoreline about eight miles west of Silverdale in Kitsap County. The campground provides 50 standard campsites arranged in two loops, plus two hiker/biker sites. The lower loop (sites 1-25) operates year-round, while the upper loop (sites 26-50) closes from November 1 through March 31. A tent-only group camp accommodates up to 40 people with a covered shelter, vault toilet, fire pits, and water spigot. Amenities include two restroom buildings, four showers, potable water, and a dump station. Note that water is turned off from November through March 1, with a winter supply available near the dump station only. Each site has access to picnic tables and designated fire areas. A reservable kitchen shelter with electricity is available for groups. The park features groomed trails through second-growth forest with native rhododendrons that bloom spectacularly in spring. The historic Emel House, a popular wedding venue, overlooks the beach. Activities include beachcombing, shellfish harvesting (with license), hiking, and wildlife watching with views across Hood Canal to the Olympic Mountains.
