About

Belfair State Park sits at the southern tip of Hood Canal, offering 65 acres of saltwater shoreline and wetland habitat. The campground provides diverse site options ranging from primitive tent sites to full-hookup RV sites with electric, water, and sewer connections. Standard amenities include flush restrooms with hot showers, potable water throughout, picnic tables and fire pits at each site, and firewood for sale. The Tree Loop area accommodates smaller rigs with an 18-foot vehicle length limit and is open seasonally from mid-May through mid-September. The park is known for its unique tidal marsh and Big Mission Creek, which support a rich ecosystem. Recreational opportunities include saltwater swimming and wading at the beach, shellfish harvesting in season, and hiking the wetland nature trail. Horseshoe pits and volleyball courts are available. A marine trail campsite serves paddlers and sailors traveling the Cascadia Marine Trail on a first-come, first-served basis. Four rental cabins provide roofed accommodation options, with one cabin allowing pets. The park operates year-round with reservations available through Washington State Parks. Leashed dogs are welcome in the campground, and ADA-accessible sites, restrooms, and trails are available throughout the park.
