This Order applies to all National Forest System lands and roads within the Boise National Forest for purposes of public health and safety.
Flat Fire GNA Salvage Road and Trail Closure
The purpose of this Order is to protect public safety during timber operations near the Flat Fire burn area. These will be in effect from June 20 through December 31, 2025.

About
Trout Creek Campground, near Landmark, Idaho, offers 5 campsites in a peaceful, remote setting near mountain slopes covered in dense pine forest. The campground sits in a pretty mountain meadow a stone's throw from several creeks including the scenic Johnson Creek, a tributary of the South Fork Salmon River. Wildlife watchers may see deer, elk, bear and moose, while bald eagles are often spotted soaring overhead. The campground is near the trailhead to Thunderbolt Lookout and several trails into the Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness, making it a popular destination for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. The South Fork Salmon River and Johnson Creek offer opportunities for fishing. Berry picking and hunting are popular pastimes in season. The campground can be accessed by most vehicles, though the road is narrow and may be rough in spots. The tiny community of Yellow Pine is approximately 15 miles north and offers limited services. Each campsite includes a fire ring, grill, and picnic table, with vault toilets available. No potable water is available on-site.
Directions
From Boise, travel north on Highway 55 approximately 80 miles to Cascade. Continue north on Highway 55 to Warm Lake Road (Forest Highway 22). Travel northeast approximately 25 miles. At the Warm Lake area, FH-22 becomes Forest Service Road 579. Continue east along FS Road 579 to its intersection with FS Road 413, approximately 10 miles. Turn north on FS Road 413 and proceed 8 miles to the campground.
