About

Penny Springs Campground offers a secluded camping experience in Boise National Forest, ideal for those seeking solitude away from the summer crowds at nearby Warm Lake. The campground sits beneath a pine forest canopy approximately 27 miles east of Cascade, Idaho, providing a peaceful basecamp for exploring the surrounding backcountry. The small campground features primitive sites equipped with fire rings, grills, and picnic tables. Vault toilets are provided, but campers must bring their own drinking water as potable water is not available. Dogs are welcome but must remain on leash. Recreation opportunities abound in the area, including fishing in nearby streams, wildlife viewing, and access to hiking and horseback riding trails via the Cupp Corral and Dollar Creek Ridge trailheads. The late summer months reward visitors with huckleberry picking and wildflower-covered trails.
