About

Trimmer Campground sits on the shore of Pine Flat Lake, a 20-mile-long reservoir formed by Pine Flat Dam on the Kings River in 1954. Located where oak and pine forests meet in the central Sierra Nevada foothills, the campground provides easy access to the lake's 67 miles of shoreline. The facility features 10 individual campsites in a single loop, split between standard nonelectric sites (accommodating RVs up to 20 feet) and tent-only sites. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and paved back-in driveway. The campground has a well-lit accessible restroom with flush toilets and free hot showers. Recreation opportunities include fishing for bass, bluegill, crappie, and trout, as well as boating, water skiing, and swimming when lake levels permit. A boat ramp and courtesy dock are adjacent to the campground. Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks are accessible via scenic drives to the east.

Directions

From Fresno, travel east on Highway 180/Kings Canyon Highway to Academy Avenue. Turn left onto Academy Avenue, then right on Belmont Avenue. Continue approximately 26 miles; the entrance to Trimmer Recreation Area is on the right. Belmont Avenue becomes East Trimmer Springs Road about 6 miles east of the Academy Avenue intersection.
