About

Camp 4 Campground sits at 1,000 feet elevation along the Wild and Scenic Kings River in the Giant Sequoia National Monument. This small primitive campground offers five first-come-first-served sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet serves the campground, but no potable water is available. The campground is particularly popular with whitewater enthusiasts, as the Kings River features Class III rapids in this section. Fishing is also available in the river. The campground is free to use but requires a campfire permit for any fires, barbecues, or camp stoves. Access is via Piedra Road, Trimmer Springs Road (11S12), and Davis Road (12S01) from Fresno, approximately 65 miles east. The campground is unsuitable for trailers due to road conditions and site limitations. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 PM to 6 AM, and camping is limited to 14 consecutive days within any 30-day period.

Directions

From Fresno, travel 65 miles east via State Highway 180, Piedra Road, Trimmer Springs Road (11S12), and Davis Road (12S01). The campground is located along the Kings River.
